Keep your cool
Coolant keeps your engine cool and helps maintain an optimal operating temperature – something that’s essential in a province like BC, where you can experience temperatures well above and well below freezing in the same trip.
The coolant itself is formulated not to freeze in extremely cold conditions, just one of the reasons your vehicle’s cooling system doesn’t use pure water only.
But coolant does more than just keep your engine temperature down. It prevents rust, corrosion and mineral build-up in the cooling system and radiator, and lubricates the water pump used to circulate the coolant.
As coolant ages, the additives used to prevent corrosion and lubricate the water pump get used up.
Changing your coolant according to your Owner’s Manual prevents damage and extends the life of the cooling system, and ultimately your engine.
When it comes to replacing your vehicle’s coolant, we use only Toyota Genuine Longlife Coolant. It was developed specifically for Toyota engines and its non-silicate formula won't damage your water pump seal.
