Oil is your vehicle’s life-blood. It keeps your engine operating smoothly by preventing metal on metal contact between moving parts of the engine, and protects it from friction, wear and damage. Your vehicle’s oil filter removes harmful particles such as carbon and metallic grit from the oil and lubrication system.
Over time and use of course, the oil in your engine starts to break down and lose its viscosity, and the filter becomes clogged with the impurities it has removed.
As a general rule, you should have your oil & filter changed every 8000kms, but due to differences in vehicle models, oil types and/or driving habits, please refer to your Owners Manual for your vehicle’s specific recommendations.
